Ooh, this smells good. It’s almost a satsuma kind of smell, like I could drink it. I won’t.
SUNATORIA sent me this keratin hair mask to try, and I’d use it for the scent alone. I’m a big fan.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you fight tangles after every wash
- Skip it if: you want something you can do in one quick shower
- My favorite feature: how it smells, hands down
- Would I buy again? Yes
What is in the SUNATORIA keratin hair mask?
Hydrolyzed keratin, silk protein, a blend of eight amino acids and argan oil. It’s made in Korea, and since I already use Korean skin care, I figured why not try their hair care.

SUNATORIA Korean Keratin Hair Mask 8.4 fl oz
An 8.4 oz jar of rinse-out deep conditioning cream from Korea.

Who should try this hair mask?
Anyone whose hair is a struggle to get a comb through, or whose texture has changed with age. If you want a smoothing step after the mask, the Remilia Cosmocap hair serum goes on silky with no grease. On the shampoo side, I liked the ArtNaturals argan oil set for hair that feels older than I am.
What one mask did for my 48-year-old hair
Right out of the shower, my hair combed out from the top straight down to the ends. Never can I do that without some work.
Then our power went out and things got crazy, so I checked again the next day. The blow dryer went through easier too. I only blow dry the front sections, because that’s where my hair has a strange new texture with aging. My hair is 48 years old. Well, and so am I. Those front pieces felt a lot smoother than usual.
All of it felt soft, maybe a little shinier, and it was still soft and clean feeling after I slept on it. I use it now and then, whenever I’ve got time for the full routine.

How to use the SUNATORIA mask
- Wash and towel dry: it goes on clean, damp hair. A gentle wash first, like the Svvimer rosemary biotin shampoo, works fine.
- Spread and massage: work it in from the roots to the tips, then comb it through.
- Wait and rinse: leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse it out.
What else I like
- The cream is thick and easy to scoop out of the jar.
- It feels like a little spa day at home.
What to know before you order
- It’s a whole routine. You get out of the shower to towel dry, put it on, wait, and get back in to rinse.
- Save it for a day you’re not in a hurry.

Other keratin and bond repair hair treatments to compare
- Kitsch Bond Repair Hair Mask Bar: A solid bar instead of a jar of cream, used as a weekly bond repair treatment with marula oil and baobab protein. It’s vegan and made without silicones or sulfates.
- TRESemmé Pro Collection Keratin Repair Leave In: A keratin spray you leave in rather than rinse out. Mist it on damp hair and comb it through the lengths and ends, with no waiting.
My take on the SUNATORIA keratin hair mask
It’s earned a spot in my hair routine for the days I have time to do it right.
