The kindnature low dose melatonin gummies put 0.5 mg of melatonin with L-theanine, magnesium glycinate and lemon balm, and they taste like a treat. I’ve only taken them once so far, so this covers what’s in them and how they taste, not weeks of sleep.
kindnature sent me these to try.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you want a small melatonin dose in a gummy you’ll look forward to
- Skip it if: you count on 5 or 10 mg to knock you out
- My favorite feature: The cute moon shape
- Would I buy again? Possibly, as part of my nighttime rotation
What sets a 0.5 mg melatonin gummy apart
The melatonin is the smallest piece here. At 0.5 mg per serving, it’s a fraction of the 5 or 10 mg printed on plenty of other sleep gummies.
The rest of the serving is L-theanine, magnesium glycinate and lemon balm, and I like that mix. I drink lemon balm tea quite often (the Hiihone lemon balm tea is one I’ve reviewed).

Who are these low dose melatonin gummies for?
These are good for grown-ups who’d rather start with a small amount of melatonin than a big one.
They also fit if you avoid soy, gluten or gelatin, or want a gummy with no added sugar.
How the moon gummies taste and feel
I first opened them in the middle of the afternoon, and I didn’t need drowsiness right then. So I looked them over and saved the tasting for bedtime. They’re moons, which is cute, a pretty good size and nice and squishy. The smell isn’t strong.
That night I looked ready for bed when I finally tried one. Blueberry is my favorite, and this one tastes absolutely delicious, like a treat, with a good gummy texture. I’ve only had them the one night, and things like this affect everyone differently, so I can’t speak to what they do over a few weeks.
Bottle details I noticed
- Directions: Two gummies 30 minutes before bedtime. Then don’t fight it. I’ve taken stuff like this and then fought to keep my eyes open, which makes no sense when the whole point is sleep. If you read in bed like I do with the Glocusent clip-on book light, that’s your cue to close the book.
- The warning: It comes with a drowsiness warning. For a sleep gummy, let’s hope so.
- No sugar before bed: Monk fruit does the sweetening, so there’s zero added sugar right before you sleep.
What I liked about the label
- Every ingredient has its amount printed, nothing hidden
- Pectin-based and vegan, with no gelatin and no artificial colors
- Soy-free, gluten-free and made in a GMP-certified facility
What to know before you order kindnature gummies
- Mine were sticking together. Be careful with the temperature and keep them somewhere cool.
- If 5 or 10 mg of melatonin is your normal, 0.5 mg can feel light.
Questions to ask before you try them
Can kids take kindnature sleep gummies?
No, they’re sold as sleep gummies for adults. If your child has trouble sleeping, talk to their doctor before trying any melatonin. Store them up high too, because a fruity gummy looks a lot like candy to a little kid.
Can I take these if I’m on medication?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Anyone on a blood thinner or with epilepsy should only use melatonin with a doctor keeping an eye on it, and the same goes if you’re pregnant or nursing.
Will kindnature gummies make me drowsy the next day?
I can’t answer that from a single dose. Daytime sleepiness is one of the reported melatonin side effects, and melatonin can stay active longer in older adults, so try your first dose on a night when you don’t need to be sharp early the next morning.
How long does one bottle of kindnature sleep gummies last?
A month, if you take the full two-gummy serving every night. The bottle holds 60 gummies, which works out to 30 servings.
Other sleep gummies to compare
If you’d rather skip melatonin completely, the OH MY CHEWY melatonin-free sleep gummies I tried have magnesium glycinate plus lemon balm, chamomile and L-theanine. Three more to look at:
- Nature’s Truth Melatonin Gummies 1 mg: Melatonin on its own, 1 mg per serving, in a vegan mixed berry gummy, with no L-theanine, magnesium or herbs.
- ZzzQuil PURE Zzzs Melatonin Gummies 2 mg: Four times the melatonin of kindnature, plus chamomile, lemon balm and lavender extracts, in a berry-flavored gummy.
- MaryRuth’s Melatonin Free Sleep Gummies: No melatonin at all. L-theanine, chamomile, lemon balm and vitamin B6 in a sugar-free strawberry gummy for ages 14 and up.
Would I buy kindnature sleep gummies again?
Possibly. I rotate a lot of nighttime things as part of my evening wind-down, and these might be in the mix.
kindnature Low Dose Melatonin Gummies are a 0.5 mg sleep gummy for anyone who wants a light melatonin dose.
