Meet Bonesy, a very cute and unique glass tumbler from OTOTO. OTOTO sent it to me to try.
It’s glass, so I have to be extra careful with it. But the skull isn’t just for Halloween. I knew right away I’d use it all year.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you like drinking from glass and want a tumbler with some personality
- Skip it if: you’re hard on your cups, or you need something that keeps ice frozen all day
- My favorite feature: The skull sleeve. It’s cute without looking like a costume-store cup.
- Would I buy again? Yes
A skull tumbler you can use all year
Bonesy is a clear glass tumbler in a white silicone sleeve shaped like a skull, with a bamboo lid on top. The skull face is cut right into the sleeve, so the eyes and nose show the glass behind them.
It’s obviously perfect for Halloween and spooky season. The white and bamboo keep it soft enough that it doesn’t look out of place in March, either.

Who will love Bonesy?
Anyone into goth accessories, spooky decor, or Halloween in general. If you start decorating for fall with felt pumpkin pie slices in September, Bonesy fits right in.
It also makes a fun gift for someone who has every water bottle already. If they’d rather have a cup with a sense of humor for their desk, the MAX’IS mug with a basketball hoop is another one in that spirit. Taking Bonesy on fall walks and beyond
Bonesy came along on my fall adventures first. I happen to prefer drinking out of glass, and there’s something extra refreshing about drinking water through a glass straw.
That didn’t stop when October did. I’ve kept using it all year since.
What comes in the box?
- Two glass straws: One is an everyday drinking straw, and the other is a wider bubble tea straw.
- A cleaning brush: Glass straws need one, and it’s already in the box.
- Mostly dishwasher safe: The tumbler, sleeve, and straws can all go in.

Small things I liked
- It fits in my car’s cup holder
- It’s slim and easy to carry around
Handle it with care
- It’s glass. The sleeve covers most of it, but I’m still extra careful with it. Also, be extra extra careful with glass straws.
- The bamboo lid has to be washed by hand.
- Don’t expect it to hold temperature like a double-wall stainless steel tumbler.
OTOTO Bonesy questions, answered
How big is the OTOTO Bonesy tumbler?
It holds 16.9 oz and stands about 9.8 inches tall with a 2.75-inch width.
Can you put hot drinks in the Bonesy tumbler?
OTOTO says the silicone sleeve keeps drinks toasty or ice cold. I use mine for water.
Does Bonesy fit in a car cup holder?
Yes. It sits in my car’s cup holder.
Is the Bonesy tumbler fragile?
It’s glass, so a hard drop can break it. The sleeve covers most of the outside, but I still handle it with care.
Other cups to compare
- Simple Modern Insulated Iced Coffee Tumbler: A 24 oz insulated stainless tumbler. Go this way if keeping drinks cold for hours matters more than the look.
- 20oz Glass Tumbler with Silicone Sleeve: A plain beer-can-shaped glass tumbler with a protective sleeve and a straw. Same glass idea as Bonesy, without the skull.
- Artisan’s Anvil Copper Water Bottle: If you want a reusable bottle made from something other than glass, here’s the copper one I reviewed.
Is Bonesy still in my rotation?
Yes, and not just in October.
If you love the skull look and you’d rather sip from glass, get it. Just treat it gently.
