The WARSUN T9PRO pocket flashlight fits in my hand. The first time I turned it on, I said “whoo” out loud.
WARSUN sent it to me to try, and it’s really bright for its size.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you want one pocket flashlight you can wear, stick up or hang from your wrist
- Skip it if: you’d rather have a light with one simple switch
- My favorite feature: it’s three lights in one, and each one has a job
- Would I buy again? Yes
A main beam, a side panel and a UV light in one
The front is a regular flashlight beam. Down one side is a long panel light for lighting up a whole area, and that panel can also flash red. There’s a purple UV light too.
All of it runs off two buttons, one for the front beam and one for the side light. Single clicks, double clicks and long presses each do something different.

WARSUN T9PRO Rechargeable Pocket Flashlight
A rechargeable pocket flashlight with three kinds of light and a few ways to carry it.
What’s in the box and how it charges
- In the box: the flashlight, a charging cord, a lanyard and instructions
- Charging: USB-C
- Weight: about 2.9 ounces
- Front beam: click for low, medium and high, double click for extra bright, hold for strobe
- Side light: click for low, medium and high white, double click for flashing red
- Also: a purple UV light and a red laser
Who this pocket flashlight is for
I can picture my dad walking around with this on his belt, and my husband would use it all the time too. It’s a handy everyday tool.
It’s also for anyone building up an outage kit. We just lost power for four days, so I’m on a mission to collect things like this. It sits with the solar lantern I use when the power’s out and the Rush Charge power bank. If you’re building one too, put the power company’s outage number on paper. This free who-to-call sheet has a spot for it.
Clicking through every mode
I clicked through everything the first day. When I tried the side light, I flashed it right into my own eyes.

The flashing red was the last one I found. My first thought was that I could play with my dogs with it. I thought about keeping it in my glove box, but it ended up in our emergency kit instead.
Three ways to carry or mount it
- Belt clip: it clips right onto a belt or a pocket.
- Magnet: there’s a magnet on the back end, so it can stick to metal.
- Lanyard: the strap in the box gives you one more way to wear it or hang it up.
What to know before buying the WARSUN T9PRO
- The buttons take practice. Give yourself a minute to learn which press does what.
- Point it away from your face while you test the modes.
Common questions about flashlights for power outages
Does the WARSUN T9PRO have a magnet?
Yes. The magnet is on the back end, so it holds onto metal. It also has a belt clip, and a lanyard comes in the box.
How do you charge the WARSUN T9PRO?
With USB-C. A charging cord comes in the box.
Is a flashlight safer than candles when the power goes out?
Yes. Candles are a fire risk, and after a storm a fire truck might not reach you quickly. Reach for a flashlight or a battery lantern first, and if you do use candles, keep them in a sturdy holder away from anything that can burn and never walk away from one.
How many flashlights should you have for a power outage?
One for every person in the house. Ready.gov says to have flashlights for every household member, so nobody is stuck waiting on someone else’s in the dark.
How do you keep a rechargeable flashlight going in a long outage?
Plan a backup way to charge it, like a portable charger or power bank. Keep it topped off before storm season so it’s full when you need it.
Other pocket flashlights to compare
- Olight Arkfeld UV: a thin, flat flashlight with white and 365nm UV, a magnetic tail, a two-way clip and an IPX7 rating. No side panel.
- Wurkkos FC11: a round flashlight that runs on one 18650 battery, charges by USB-C and has a magnetic tail. One beam only.
Would I keep the WARSUN T9PRO in my kit?
Yes. It lives in our emergency kit now, and I’d buy it again.
