I love notebooks. I love office supplies. I’d go back-to-school shopping for myself every August, and I’m not even a student. So when a five-pack of Decorably spiral notebooks showed up, I was excited before I’d even opened it.
This set was sent to me to try, and I’ve liked everything from Decorably so far, from their 100 pack of birthday cards to their 16 pack of graduation cards. These kept the streak going. They feel well made, they look nice on a desk, and I’d happily buy them again.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you get giddy over a fresh notebook and want one you’ll hang on to after the semester ends
- Skip it if: you want zero branding anywhere inside
- My favorite feature: the colors look good fanned out together
- Would I buy again? Yes
How the Decorably covers and gold spiral feel in your hands
The cover is the first thing I noticed. It’s strong, almost like thin plastic instead of the bendy cardboard on a cheap spiral notebook. Across the bottom of each one, gold foil letters say Write. Learn. Grow.
The spiral is gold too, so the foil and the wire match. It’s a small detail, and it makes the set look finished.

Decorably 5-Pack Gold Foil Spiral Notebooks College Ruled
Five college ruled spiral notebooks in soft neutral covers with gold foil lettering and a gold wire spiral. Each one holds 70 tear-out sheets.
How big are the notebooks and how many sheets do you get?
Each notebook is 8 x 10.5 inches with 70 college ruled sheets of 110gsm paper, and you get five in the box.
- Pack size: 5 notebooks, each a different color
- Sheets per notebook: 70 (140 pages)
- Paper weight: 110gsm
- Ruling: College ruled
- Notebook size: 8 x 10.5 inches
- Torn page size: 7.5 x 10.5 inches
- Binding: Gold wire spiral
- Punching: 3 holes for a standard ring binder
Who are the Decorably spiral notebooks for?
Anyone who gets a little too happy in the office supply aisle. I wouldn’t even use these for school. I’d keep them for my own notes and journaling, because they’re too pretty to hand in as homework.
They’d still work at any stage of life, from a lecture hall to a Monday meeting. If you want more structure, the Decorably Daily Planner Pad lays out a whole day at a time, and the Brain Shift Journal gives you a new prompt every day if you freeze up with nothing to start from.

What is it like to write in these notebooks?
The paper feels sturdy and high quality. I like the size of the lines, too.
The spiral opens cleanly and doesn’t stick, so the notebook folds back and lies flat on the table without me pinning it down.
Three details I noticed up close
- Micro-perforated sheets: I tore one out to check, and it came away clean along the edge instead of leaving a ragged strip in the spiral.
- Pre-punched holes: every sheet already has three holes, so a torn-out page goes straight into a ring binder.
- Five shades in one box: three warm pinks and beiges plus a gray and an ivory. They’re different enough to tell apart, and they look pretty held up all at once.
What I liked about the Decorably notebooks
- Lined front and back, so nothing goes to waste
- Decorably has been a solid brand for me before, and this set held up the same way

One small thing to know before you buy
- Every page has a tiny Decorably logo printed in the bottom corner. I can’t think of why it would matter for a class assignment, but if a teacher is picky, now you know it’s there.
Questions about the Decorably spiral notebooks
Will the torn-out pages fit a three-ring binder?
Yes. Each sheet comes off at 7.5 by 10.5 inches with three punched holes, so it slides onto the rings of a regular binder.
Are all five Decorably notebooks the same inside?
Yes. Every notebook has 70 college ruled sheets at the same 110gsm weight. The only difference from one to the next is the color on the outside.
Do the Decorably spiral notebooks lie flat?
Yes. The gold spiral opens cleanly and doesn’t stick, so you can fold the notebook back and it stays flat on the table without you holding it down.
Is there a logo on the Decorably notebook pages?
Yes. Each page has a tiny Decorably logo in the bottom corner. It’s small, but if you need pages with no branding at all, for a class or a client, it’s there.
Are the Decorably notebooks good for journaling?
That’s how I’d use them. The paper is thick and sturdy, and both sides of every sheet are lined, so you get all 140 pages to write on.
