I tried the Rush Charge Universe mini power bank after Rush Charge sent me one. My first reaction was how small it is, and that it comes with attachments for different charging ports.
Months later, I’m still using it.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you’re tired of everything waiting its turn for one charger
- Skip it if: you need a big battery for long stretches away from an outlet
- My favorite feature: everything fills up together, even the small stuff
- Would I buy again? Yes
Does it charge three things at once?
Yes. I plugged in my Kindle, my iPad and a TV remote at the same time, and all three charged. The lights still showed three bars afterward.
That’s my favorite part. Normally everything has to wait in line for a charger.

Who is the Rush Charge Universe for?
Anyone who wants one small charger for a purse or pocket, and anyone stocking up for outages. We just went four days without power, and I didn’t have nearly enough portable chargers.
It now sits alongside the LISEN MagSafe power bank I tested, the Pronly 3 band radio I keep for storm season and the BILTRTE inflatable solar lantern I tried.
For the next outage, there’s also a free who-to-call sheet on Admin Arcade with a spot for the power company’s outage line.
How I use it now
It splits its time between my purse and the house. When I’m out, it tops up my phone.
At home, it’s how the remotes get charged now. Usually we don’t notice they’re dead until the TV won’t turn on.
The tips, caps and little extras
- Three plugs: one for iPhone, one micro USB and one USB-C, so a friend with a different phone can borrow it too.
- Caps that stay put: each tip has a cover attached to the body, so you can’t pull it off and leave it somewhere.
- Swappable tips: extra ones come in the box, and a button on the back pops a tip out so you can switch.
- Pass-through: you can recharge the power bank while it’s charging your stuff.
Wondering if your own stuff fits those three tips? Tap the gadgets in your house and see which ones plug right in.

What else I liked
- It arrived pre-charged, so I could try it right away
- It’s cute, and I went with the purple one
What are the downsides?
- Big devices crowd it. My Kindle and iPad overlapped a little sitting side by side.
- The battery is 3300mAh, so plan on quick top-ups, not several full charges.
- Filling the power bank back up takes about two to three hours.
