My sister Shelley had been hunting for the right pillow for years. She’s picky about it. Why an adjustable pillow finally worked for her
Every other pillow ships at one height and you either like it or you don’t. This one has a zipper along the side, and inside is loose fill you can take out by the handful or add back in. Shelley’s exact words were that the adjustable fill is her favorite part, because she could keep changing it until it was right.
The fill itself is what makes the squish work. She described it as tiny wispy, swirly, puffy clouds. It compresses when she scrunches the pillow under her face and it doesn’t spread out and leave her flat halfway through the night, which is the exact failure she was trying to escape.

Who this pillow suits
Side sleepers first. Shelley sleeps mostly on her side and likes to smash the pillow up against her face, and she needed something that would hold that shape instead of thinning out under her. If that’s how you sleep, the adjustable fill lets you land on the exact amount of loft your neck wants.

What to know before you order

- You’ll see tiny specks in the fabric. They’re bits of cotton husk, which Shelley says is what you get with cotton this organic, not dirt or a flaw. She pointed them out so nobody panics.
- The 20 by 26 arrived fuller than she wanted. Plan on taking some out before your first night.
