VREKEF sent me their 60% urea cream to try. I’d already tried another foot cream from them and really liked it, so I was excited to open this one.
My first reaction: it’s thick and creamy and smells nice. It looked like it would be very soothing on my dry feet.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: your feet are cracked and rough and you’ll put on a thick layer at bedtime
- Skip it if: your feet are only a little dry and you want something lighter
- My favorite feature: waking up with softer, smoother feet
- Would I buy again? Yes, I’d buy it and recommend it
What 60 percent urea plus salicylic acid does
This is a 60% urea cream with 2% salicylic acid. The urea softens hard, thick skin and moisturizes, and the salicylic acid gently exfoliates dead skin cells. It’s made for dry, rough, and cracked skin, corns, and calluses.
It also has vitamin E, aloe, and tea tree oil in the mix.

Who needs a 60% urea foot cream
This is for winter feet, whatever the season. I had winter feet going on when it was basically summer: cracked heels, rough spots, and a dry big toe.
If your feet are just a little dry, a lighter body lotion like the Hempz winter lotions I tried will probably do. This one is for the rough, cracked stuff.
My bedtime routine with VREKEF urea cream
I’ve been using it for quite a few nights now. I smear it on my whole foot but pay extra attention to the cracked parts: my heel, the rough spots, and even my big toe.
I treat it like self-care and give myself a little foot massage while I put it on. Having someone else give you the foot massage would be even nicer.
Once it’s on nice and thick, I pull on a fluffy sock and go to bed. The cream stays on my feet instead of getting all over my sheets, and I wake up with softer, smoother feet. It feels so nice.

Small things that make it easy to use
- Light scent: it’s very light, and I like it.
- Thick but easy to spread: it goes on nice and thick and still smears over the whole foot.
What I liked about VREKEF 60%
- I was very happy to see the little bunny on the box
- It turns putting on foot cream into a few minutes of self-care
Good to know before you order
- It works best as a bedtime thing, since you’ll want a sock over it
- Soft feet came from using it night after night, so plan on making it a habit
VREKEF urea cream questions, answered
How do you use 60% urea cream overnight?
Put a thick layer on clean, dry feet, focus on the cracked spots, then pull on a sock and go to bed. I woke up with softer, smoother feet.
Can you use VREKEF urea cream on your hands or elbows?
Yes. It’s made for feet, hands, elbows, and knees, anywhere the skin is dry, rough, or thick.
Does VREKEF 60% urea cream have a scent?
It has a very light scent. I liked it.
What does the salicylic acid do in a urea cream?
It gently exfoliates dead skin cells, while the urea softens and moisturizes the thick, rough skin underneath.
Other foot treatments to compare
If you’d rather start with something a little gentler, my review of the VREKEF 40 percent urea cream covers the lower-strength version I tried first. Here are three more that take a different approach.
- PurOrganica Urea Cream 40%: 40% urea with no salicylic acid, in a 4 oz jar.
- Baby Foot Exfoliation Foot Peel: a one-hour peel you wear in booties, then rinse. The dead skin comes off over the following days.
- Kerasal Intensive Foot Repair Ointment: 10% urea and 5% salicylic acid in a petrolatum ointment, in a 1 oz size.
My call on VREKEF 60% urea cream
I really like this one. I’d definitely buy it and recommend it.
