The label on this Vitamins and Sea serum says it balances all skin types, brightens your complexion, and minimizes dark spots. Hello, I need that. It was sent to me to try.
It’s a toning serum with Dead Sea minerals and a vitamin C complex, and it goes on after you wash your face. I washed mine and put it on right before my makeup.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you cut skincare steps when you’re running late
- Skip it if: you want nothing scented on your face
- My favorite feature: how fast it soaks in
- Using it every day? Yes
What sets this vitamin C serum apart on your skin
It’s the finish. My skin felt super soft afterward, but not slick. It almost had a little mattifying effect, and it felt like my pores got smaller. I can’t tell you that’s actually what happened, but that’s how my skin felt.

Who this serum is best for
It’s for anyone who cuts steps when they’re in a rush. When I have to hurry up and do my makeup, the extra skincare is the first thing I skip. This one was so fast I could roll right into my makeup, so I’ll have no problem using it every day.
If you do follow it with a moisturizer, pick one that also sinks in fast, like the JiYu NAD+ cream, so the routine stays quick. For mornings when you do have a few extra minutes, there are the Lorelis Lab under-eye gel patches I tried too.
What happened the first time I put it on
I washed my face and started with two drops, since it goes on your face and neck. That wasn’t quite enough, so I added a little more to get my forehead and neck.
I kept feeling like I should be doing some special massage movements to put it on. I didn’t. I just smeared it on, and that was fine.

Three things that stood out
- It absorbs fast: I couldn’t get over how quickly it disappeared into my skin. No sitting around waiting for it to dry.
- A light, refreshing scent: I usually don’t like scented products on my face, but this one smelled really good the second I opened it, and it’s light, not strong at all.
- Vegan with a paw print: The box says it’s vegan, eco-friendly, and gives back, and there’s a little paw print on it too.
A couple more things I liked
- My skin felt super soft right away.
- No oily layer sitting on top afterward.
What to know before buying this serum
- It has a scent. It’s light and I liked it, but if you avoid anything scented on your face, look for an unscented serum.
Common questions about the Vitamins and Sea serum
Does the Vitamins and Sea serum fade dark spots?
The brand’s own description says it diminishes the look of dark spots over time. I’m going by how it felt to put on, so I can’t vouch for that part yet.
How many drops of the serum do you need?
A few. I started with two and added a little more to cover my forehead and neck.
Can you put makeup right over this serum?
Yes. It sank in fast enough that I went straight to my makeup with no waiting.
Does the Vitamins and Sea serum have a scent?
Yes, a light one. I usually don’t like scented products on my face, but this one smelled really good and it’s not strong at all.
Other vitamin C serums to compare
- CeraVe Skin Brightening Vitamin C Serum: The fragrance-free option. It uses 10% L-ascorbic acid with hyaluronic acid and three ceramides in a 1 oz gel.
- Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum: A different form of vitamin C, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, with vitamin E, ferulic acid, and hyaluronic acid. It’s aimed at sensitive and acne-prone skin and comes in a 1 oz bottle.
- TruSkin Vitamin C Super Serum: Adds retinol and niacinamide to the vitamin C, plus hyaluronic acid and squalane. It’s meant for two to three nights a week under moisturizer, not every day.
My take on the Vitamins and Sea serum
If your mornings are rushed, this is an easy serum to add. I really like it, and it’s going into my everyday routine.
