I have tech neck so bad from looking down and forward at a desk, so the Zenvita neck massage pillow got my attention. Zenvita sent it to me to try.
I like it, and I’ll happily keep using it. Whether I’d buy one myself, I’m not sure yet.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you want something that does the neck work for you
- Skip it if: you want kneading. Nothing in this one does that.
- My favorite feature: A three-way tie between the rise and fall under my neck, the warmth, and the squishy cushion.
- Would I buy again? Still deciding.
How does the Zenvita airbag stretch your neck?
When you turn it on, an airbag inflates up high under your neck and stretches it. Then it goes down and comes back up. The up and down does kind of feel like a massage.
It’s like the good pain you get during a massage, and I know it’s needed. My neck needs the stretch to push it back out.

Zenvita 3-in-1 Neck Massage Pillow with Heat and Traction
A cordless memory foam neck pillow with an inflating airbag, heat, and three vibration speeds. It comes with a remote.
Zenvita neck massage pillow battery, controls, and functions
- Functions: airbag stretch, heat, and vibration. Each one works independently.
- Vibration: three speeds, or off
- Battery: built-in 2500 mAh, rechargeable
- Charging: USB-C, about 4 hours
- Auto shut-off: 15 minutes
- Controls: buttons on the side of the pillow, plus a remote
- In the box: pillow, remote, USB-C charging cord, user manual
- Fill: slow rebound memory foam
Who is this neck pillow for?
It’s for desk people and phone people. If your neck is stiff from looking down all day, the airbag is the reason to get it.
If warmth alone is what you’re after, I’ve also tried the reliefRX snug-fit heating pad on a sore neck. And if you want something for your shoulders too, I’ve reviewed this neck and shoulder massager for tight desk shoulders.
Getting the position right on the Zenvita pillow
I tried it on the floor, in the dog crossing zone, which isn’t where I’d normally lie down. I was too low on it at first. Your shoulders go against the pillow and your head rests back on the top part.
The first time, you have to turn it on from the pillow itself. After that, the remote takes over, so I’m not reaching around and guessing at buttons.

The foam, the heat, and the shut-off
- Slow rebound memory foam: it’s the softest, squishiest material. Push down on it and it slowly pops back up.
- Heat: I like it with the up and down going. Those are the two I keep on.
- 15 minute shut-off: I felt like I could fall asleep on it. If you do, it turns itself off.

What I liked
- Each setting runs on its own, so you can mix and match
- It charges with USB-C
What to know before you buy
- The vibration is only vibration. It pulses at three speeds, from slow to fast, and none of them feel like a massage. I leave it off, and the pillow doesn’t need it in my opinion.
- The stretch has some bite. Ease into it.
Common questions about the Zenvita neck massage pillow
Does the Zenvita neck pillow knead like a shiatsu massager?
No. Nothing in it kneads. If that’s what you want, look at a shiatsu massager.
Is the Zenvita neck massage pillow cordless?
Yes. It runs on a built-in 2500 mAh rechargeable battery and takes about 4 hours to charge.
Can you use the Zenvita as a regular pillow?
Yes. Once it deflates all the way, I could use it as a regular pillow, even turned off.
Does the Zenvita neck pillow turn itself off?
Yes. It turns itself off after 15 minutes, so it won’t keep running if you doze off.
Other neck stretchers and massagers to compare
- RESTCLOUD Neck and Shoulder Relaxer: a shaped foam piece you lie on for 10 minutes at a time, with the curve doing the stretching.
- Zyllion ZMA-13 Back and Neck Massager: kneading shiatsu nodes with heat, a 6-foot power cord, and straps for an office chair or car headrest.
- DDS MAX Cervical Traction Collar: an air-inflated collar you wear around your neck, with an adjustable pump to set how much it inflates.
My take on the Zenvita neck massage pillow
Overall, I like it, minus the one mode I skip.
If your neck is the problem and lying down is the plan, it’s a good fit.
