This rolling standing desk was sent to me to try. I’d had a walking pad for a long time and never really knew what to do with it.
Now I can finally use it. The desk fits right over it, and I type while I’m on it.
Quick Verdict
- Buy it if: you own an under-desk treadmill and have nowhere to put a laptop while you use it
- Skip it if: you work from a big monitor setup
- My favorite feature: it slides right over the pad
- Would I buy again? It’s still in regular use over my pad
A standing desk with no preset heights
There aren’t any notches or preset stops. You loosen the knob on each leg, slide the top to where you want it, and tighten them again, so you can get it to the exact height you like, down to the millimeter.
For me, that landed at a perfect arm length for my height while I’m standing on the pad.

KLSMYHOKI Rolling Standing Desk with Lockable Wheels
A black steel desk on four casters with a laptop-sized top and knob-set legs.
How tall does it go, and how much does it hold?
- Height: 27 to 43.5 inches
- Tabletop: 31.5 x 16 inches
- Weight limit: 180 pounds
- Wheels: 4 casters, each with its own locking lever
- Frame: steel, with a double support under the top
- Desk weight: 16 pounds
- Color: black
Who is this rolling desk for?
Anyone with an under-desk treadmill that’s been sitting unused because there was no good place to work from it. It’s also a fit for a small home office where a full desk would take over the room.
If floor space is tight in your office in general, the SONGMICS wire shelf I tried goes up instead of out. And if long days of sitting land in your shoulders, the Zyllion neck and shoulder massager I tried goes right after that desk-job tension.
Does it fit over a walking pad?
Yes, it fits over mine. My sister came over and we built it together, and it went really well. Then I rolled it right over the walking pad.

The base straddles the front of the pad, and the top sits right where I need it to walk and type. That was months ago, and it’s still set up over the pad. I use it regularly.
Small details that make it easy to live with
- Cord slot: a cutout in the top lets charging cables slip right through.
- Wipe-clean top: it’s smooth, and dog fur came right off.
What else I liked
- Clear step-by-step instructions
- The smooth finish on the top

What to know before buying a rolling standing desk
- The top is laptop-sized. There’s room for a laptop and a few small things, not a big monitor setup.
- Take anything heavy off the top before you raise or lower it.
- You’ll need to hold the top up a little while you loosen the knobs, or it drops.
Common questions about rolling standing desks
How high should a standing desk be over an under-desk treadmill?
Set it while you’re standing on the treadmill, not on the floor. Your elbows should stay close to your sides and bend somewhere between 90 and 120 degrees while you type. The deck lifts you up, so a setting that feels right on the floor will feel low once you’re on it.
Can one person put this desk together?
Yes, it’s meant to be a one-person build. My sister helped me with mine, and the instructions went step by step.
Do the wheels lock?
All four do, and each one has its own lever. I keep mine locked so it doesn’t roll around, and I release them when I want to move it somewhere else.
Is the top big enough for a monitor?
Not for a big setup. The top is 31.5 x 16 inches, so it holds a computer and a couple of extras. If you use two screens, a full-size desk is the better call.
Other small standing desks on wheels to compare
- HUANUO 32 Inch Small Standing Desk with Wheels: the closest match in size, with a 31.5 x 15.75 inch top. It goes taller, from 28 to 46 inches, is rated for 200 pounds and sits on a Y-shaped base.
- Seville Classics Airlift 28 Inch XL Desk: raises and lowers with a pneumatic lever instead of knobs, from 27.5 to 41.6 inches. The top is deeper at 19.75 inches, and two of its four wheels lock.
- JOY worker Walking Pad Desk: built around a treadmill, with a gas spring handle from 30.3 to 45.3 inches, a section of the top that tilts up to 40 degrees, and cup holders. It’s rated for a lighter load, 17.6 pounds while moving.
Would I set it up again?
Yes. It’s the reason I finally use something I’d been storing for ages. Walking only stuck once it fit into my normal day, which is the same thing I figured out about why I can’t stick to a new habit.
